Wanted to create some artwork inspired by the 'Last of Us Part 2'. I used it as an experimental exercise in using the lasso tool to create shapes and colour. Also used some colour dodge and burn to bring some vivid fire into the work :)
Credit to Naughty Dog and Sony for the Last of Us series as source of inspiration.

Colouring the objects and characters
Colouring in the background colour
Using the lasso tool to create plants and puddle shapes
Darkening areas
Adding some fire glow using the overlay colour layer
Intesifying the colour using colour dodge
Putting a layer over the hair and shoe to put it under water
Finishing it off with some sparks of light from the fire
